Farrin Foster is a journalist by trade, writer by ambition, and occasional filmmaker by necessity.

She is the founding editor of independent magazine CityMag and of the Walkley-awarded community-driven journalism platform City Standard. Farrin has also worked as a journalist for outlets like The Independent Weekly (now InDaily) and radio show The Wire.

As a freelancer, she's done a strange array of things – she's written, directed, and produced editorial and advertising short films, chaired a bunch of panels, conceptualised and created content for interactive websites, been a copywriter for agencies like Xtra Shiny and Blacksheep, penned speeches for politicians, produced and co-hosted a podcast, been commissioned to write the odd occasional paper, written essays for art books, and made magazines about neighbourhoods in the USA.

She's also started a couple of businesses. Some of them are still operating. Farrin is available to work. Contact her on +61 439 420 345 / farrinfoster@gmail.com
